Barton & Guestier wines: Host City Supplier of the Volvo Ocean Race Finish Den Haag 2018!

The Volvo Ocean Race is the longest and toughest professional sporting event and a human adventure like no other. The 2017-18 edition is taken the teams 45,000 nautical miles around the world, across four oceans, touching six continents and 12 landmark Host Cities. Den Haag (The Hague) -in the Netherlands- will be the final destination and the arrival promises to be an unforgettable moment for sailors and thousands of spectators. Barton & Guestier is proud to be the official wine sponsor of the event!

Barton & Guestier and the Volvo Ocean Race have a lot in common like sailing the world's oceans, visionary and audacious teams, as well as skilled and passionate people.

The Volvo Ocean Race started back in October 2017 in Alicante (Spain). 7 teams* are in competition, all sailing on a "Volvo Ocean 65" sailing boat. The legs already run were heading Lisbon (Portugal), Capetown (South-Africa), Melbourne (Australia), HongKong - Guangzhou (China) - HongKong, Auckland (New Zealand) and Itajai - Brazil.
The boats are now heading for Newport (USA), then Cardiff (United Kingdom), Gothenburg (Sweden) with the final destination in The Hague in the Netherlands, where the welcoming "Village" will be open from June 24 to July 1.

Barton & Guestier wines will be available for sailors and spectators in the open bars, beach lounges, on board of some of the tall-ships that will accompany the event and last but not least at the Awards Dinner!
