Winning - winning was the key word for the simple and efficient incentive program run by B&G's distributor Mack & Schuhle.
For the sales force the method was simple: win points and choose a gift in the catalogue.
There were 4 ways to win points:
- For a new product listing at a private retailer
- For a second placement - on carton display or on B&G oak barrel
- For a second placement on the B&G black & gold display
- For an in-Store tasting.

The catalogue showed a selection of presitigious gifts from photo cameras to Ipads.
For the private retailers with more than one shop, a new listing was rewarded with a trip to Château Magol for 5 people.
The action led to tremendous in store visibility emphasized by the attractive slogan "Bordeaux neu erleben: Urlaub für zu Hause" meaning "Bordeaux now, for holidays at home" and also by the possibility to win a trip to Château Magnol. |

On April 5th, B&G's Flying Wine Connaisseur Program left Château Magnol to arrive in Hamburg, where German speaking Astrid Weissenborn, B&G's interim Education and Chateau Magnol manager, realized a special training at B&G's Travel Retail partner Gebr Heinemann.
20 people from the different wholesale and distribution departments joined the training and during 4 hours, they discovered the B&G history and learned about French wines and the AOC system and played funny educational games such as the aroma game and blind tasting... In total 15 B&G wines have been tasted among which the new B&G Passeport range. Like at Château Magnol, at the end of the session, all the students were introduced in the Cercle of Friends of Barton & Guestier, swearing fidelity to Barton & Guestier forever and becoming true B&G Brand Ambassadors.
The day finished at the East Hotel, a fantastic and design hotel/lounge in Hamburg, where the participants enjoyed aperitif with B&G Sparkling and B&G Passeport Côtes de Provence.
All and all a successful session of the first Flying B&G Wine Connaisseur Program.
